Another of my favorite photographic subjects is architecture. I enjoy seeking out the details, obscure and obvious, that make buildings, bridges, doors and windows, unique. From subtle close-ups that capture unique character to grand and big details that make buildings, both large and small, special in their own way.

I'm always on the lookout in my travels for those unique characteristics that make ordinary buildings extraordinary. I'm continually amazed by the incredible craftsmanship found in old, old buildings...and can only imagine how difficult it must have been to create it without modern technology and building techniques.

Clocks, cornices, signage, lights, gates, trims, stairwells, entryways, windows and doors. They all tell a story and preserve, at least in my mind, the beauty of some of these architectural gems.

Here, I share just a few of them with you.
