Summers are always way too short. But the photo opportunities are endless. In a state with more than 10,000 lakes, water, birds, flowers and fog are some of my favorite subjects.

The highly-textured, brilliantly colored Clemen's and Munsinger Gardens are right here in my little corner of the world. Alive with some of summer's most vibrant color, it's a favorite place to shoot every summer - if you can stand the mosquitos! You'll find some of those images here, but mostly in the Florals Gallery so be sure to visit there too. It's a place I almost always run into other aspiring photographers, eager to capture the perfect close-up.

Enjoy the summer! It's short...
